“Waunakee Workshop trip”

I had a comfortable stay but for $100, I wasn't impressed with the facilities. The room had old stained carpeting, toilets were stained, vent/grill inside the heater was thick with dust.I called and asked about an RCI, AARP or AAA discount they said there were no discounts at this time. Check-in was fine at 10:00pm. Got a room right away. Check-out- waited for a clerk for at least 5 min. A note said to push the pager but I couldn't find the button and the phone was missing. I was in a hurry to get to a meeting in town and almost left without checking out but then someone came. The clerk said he was outside giving someone directions but he was sitting out front in his car smoking. Also the batteries were dead on the pager phone so it wouldn't have worked any way. He was nice when he got there but smelled like cig. smoke. He asked if I had breakfast and I said yes and then kept questioning me as to when because he didn't see me in there.Breakfast was ok but only english muffins were available- no toast, donuts or muffins. I didn't have time to make a waffle and the hot food in the buffet server did not look very appetizing. There were several varieties of cereal but no fresh fruit. I ate at 8:00am so maybe they had run out already??? Glad to see plenty of milk. With the cereal and yogurt and eng. muffin I had a good breakfast!I told him I was in a hurry and he emailed me my receipt. I got it right away. If there would have been another hotel in town, I would have check that out for a more competitive price.
