“Disrespectful, no communication through employees, promised free suite, didnt get it”

I had stayed at the Baymont inn & suites the previous week and accidentally booked it at the wrong location. I called back not even ten minutes later to change the reservation and the reservation was apparently non cancellable so I ended up getting charged for the room and the room at the other location. The manager e-mailed me apologizing for the inconvenience and offered me a free upgraded room with a king bed and jetted tub. Also 15% off every stay after that. I came back in to town Wednesday night of the following week and called the hotel a few hours before my expected arrival time and tried to reserve a room and explained to the young lady on the phone about the email I had gotten from the Manager. She informed me that no reservation was necessary and to just come in. Show the email to whoever was working at the front desk and they would make sure I got my free room. Upon arrival, I did not get a free room. Not only did I not get the free room, I got the downgraded room, paid full price, and the front desk agent acted like I was a complete idiot for even asking him to comp my room. It was too late to go to any other respectable hotel and get a room so mortified and extremely upset I stayed at the Baymont that night.
