“Just Plain Strange”

When we arrived no one was at the desk. There was only a young women with two small children running around the lobby. We waited about 3 or 4 minutes for the desk clerk to come. We were doing a park, sleep and fly, so we asked about travel to the airport the following morning. The clerk told us they worked with a taxi service, handed us a card for a taxi company. He told us to call them in the morning for pick-up. We realized he hadn't told us where to park our car, so we headed back to the front desk to ask. But, the desk clerk had already disappeared again. We put our bags in our room and then my husband went back to the front desk. Now there were two more young women in the lobby talking and laughing with the desk clerk. One had a hamster crawling on here shirt and the other was dressed in pajamas. When my husband asked where to park the car for the ten days we would be gone, he said just put it anywhere. The walls in this hotel are paper thin. There we people across the hall with the door open and the television on loud enough for us to hear across the hall. They were constantly running in and out until about 11:30 PM.In the morning before our flight left, my husband went to talk to the desk clerk just to make sure everything the night clerk said was correct. That clerk told him the taxi we had called was not the one to use. He called and canceled that one and called the correct one. He also gave my husband the correct paperwork to fill out so we could leave the car in their parking lot until we returned.
