“Disappointed”

Trip was for my mother-in-laws funeral, we rented 5 rooms for 4 nites for our family, a total of 15 people including children and grandchildren. The rooms were good, clean, and offered a comfortable place to stay. There was some confustion at check in, we had asked for a handicapped-accessable room but they had given it to someone else, and I was unable to utilize the bathing facilities. They were able to move us on the second day to a room that was suitable, so the problem was resolved. The breakfast was adequate, everyone was able to find something they liked on the menu and the quality was OK. Housekeeping was good, although the staff often spoke no English so it was difficult to communicate our wishes with them. We had a problem with some of our belongings disappearing from the room, the only response from the front desk was that because most of the help had been with them for quite a while they were sure that none of them were in any way culpable. Tried to join the Wnndham Rewards program, but as our daughter had made the reservations I couldn't take advantage of the $1500 or so I had spent, those "points" were lost. I find this inexcusable. For an industry that goes to such great lengths to entice customers through their "branding" efforts, I believe they really missed the mark on this one. All in all, the room was clean and comfortable, the aminities offered were good, but the overall experience was less than stellar. Rest assured I'll not stay at another Windham location given any other choices, and that I'll share my experience with anyone who would like to hear about it.
