“Housekeeping”

We returned to our room on the second day in the evening to find the room had not been made up. We reported this to the desk but stated we only wanted it noted, we did not want anyone to come in at that time to make up the room. The room was routinely made up after that one evening.The bathroom needs to have a soap dish of some sort. One of the lights in the bathroom was not working (a heater lamp?)The screen on the window was 'wonky' but we do appreciate being able to open the window.The room key became difficult to use and was politely replaced. Even the new one would not work on the side door.There was just coffee left in the room, no tea.The staff were polite and helpful. The breakfast was well done. The location is great for us and parking is no problem. We had stayed here several times in the past and probably will again even though the housekeeping neglect was disappointing and it does seem that the hotel in general needs some revamping. Overall, for this latest stay, we would rate the hotel at a 3 out of 5.
