“Not a good choice”

We were on our way back from a week at the beach and needed a location for an overnight that would accommodate our dog as well. First, the hotel is laid out very poorly, difficult to get around, not many access doors to easily take luggage, etc in and out. Room was very nice though. However--walls were extremely thin and we were stuck in the middle of a group (wedding, family reunion, not sure what) that was INCREDIBLY NOISY, starting at 10:30 at night and continued throughout the night. I called the desk to complain, they were to send someone from security up but I don't think they did (this was at 1 AM!). Not fun when we still had an 8 hour drive ahead of us the next day. Didn't even bother with the morning breakfast as this group had kind of taken over the area, so can't rate the breakfast. And the restaurant on the grounds is more of a nightclub, as my husband and I were walking down the hall to check it out, the music was so loud that we decided to pass and walked to a Chinese place nearby. I've been to Hard Rock Cafe's that weren't this loud. The final capper was the rude clerk at the desk when I went to check out, wouldn't give me a receipt, told me I had to get it online. NEVER AGAIN! One of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had and we've traveled extensively. It's a shame because the hotel has great potential. Just doesn't live up to it.
