“Rude and Confused”

We drove to Detroit to take advantage of the park, sleep, fly program. When we got to the Baymont they had a record of our deposit ($25.00) but didn't have us signed up for the park, sleep, fly. The desk clerk "straightened it out" and we were assigned our room. We ordered pizza for delivery and I went down to the breakfast area and was given plates, forks, napkins, etc. by a very friendly desk clerk. I was a little nervous waiting for her as the lobby isn't very brightly lit and there were some people hanging around outside smoking. There were also several tv stations that wouldn't come in. Tip: Call and order your food directly from the restaurant of your choice. There's a $5.00 fee added when you order as room service. We ordered room service and were connected to a local Happy's Pizza. When we checked out the next morning we were told rudely that there would be ad additional $10.00 per day charge because we had NOT booked park, sleep and fly. On top of that, the record of our $25.00 deposit had disappeared. The clerk was rude and snippy. When I complained and asked for a contact for corporate she smirked and said "There IS no 'corporate'" and handed me a card for the manager. The shuttle driver was wonderful. However, I would NEVER recommend this motel. Pay a few more dollars and stay at the Four Seasons next door.
