“What happened?? This used to be a great hotel”

 
We have stayed at this hotel for many years in a row with great experiences. This year it was awful. Had to switch room 3 times. First for no heat on a weekend that the temps outside were below zero. Second and 3rd time for bugs. What hotel has crawling and flying bugs in winter in WI?? It was disgusting. Worse thing was the desk staff who mentioned they knew about it and that the "bugs come from nature" and "the bugs were in 1st and 2nd floor rooms, but the 3rd floor is ok" Thank goodness there was a room left on 3rd floor for our final change. The pool and hot tub were reasons why we had returned to this hotel Not good this time. Whirlpool had no jets working and 2nd night it was with no heat and was colder than the pool. The ladder to get out of the pool was broke and dangling in the water. When mentioning this to front desk staff, again the answer was, "yea, it is on the list for the pool guy when ever he gets a chance to come" I am not sure what happened to this hotel. It has surely taken a nose dive in service and amenities. Internet connection kept going out and front desk had to keep rebooting something in the ceiling. This was a weekend of the state high school dance competition, so there were no hotels with availability to change hotels, otherwise would have done if there had been a room elsewhere.
