“Really nice...and yet disappointed”

I arrived Dec 28, I booked my room Dec 26, I inquired at several motels looking for one that had a hot tub. I was planning a 4 night stay. I asked Baymont if they had a hot tub, (make sure to ask if it is working) I was driving 10 hrs, it was my birthday and was looking forward a good soak. Upon checking in I asked about what time the hot tub area would close. The hot tub was not working. Come on, when someone calls and ask about the hot tub, just be honest and tell them if it is not working. Great place to stay but I do appreciate it when people have you best interest in mind. I mentioned it to the day desk, she replied perhaps it just broke. I ask her how long it had been out of service, she could not answer my question. You get the idea I am sure. I had a good stay but there are lots of choices in the area. I come to galveston every couple years and I am not sure I will book with baymont again because of what I perceive to be, a the lack of honesty. If a person in a position of authority with this company is reading this and saying, "good job people, you got the booking." Shame on you. Ps, the breakfast is nice but do not show up after 8 am ..........not enough seating
