“Sorry, this was such a disappointing family outing”

This weekend away was for my little girl's birthday. It was a weekend of just us girls away from her 3 older brothers. The pool and spa had been closed down by the health department. A HUGE disappointment. The front desk clerk on duty did not even know it had been closed down until my daughter told him.The lock on the entry door near the pool was broken and we could not use our key cards to get in. Likewise for the entry door at the back of the building.When I got up Sunday morning and stepped down, the carpet was all wet from the air conditioning draining into the room instead of to the outside as it should. ICKY!!!!! At least that explained the strange smell in the room--wet carpeting.I made the front desk clerk aware of all these issues upon checkout so that appropriate repairs could be made. Much to my surprise, there was no offer of a discount nor any other compensation for our inconvenience.We have stayed at other Baymont locations and been quite satisfied. Not so with this visit.
