“Poor Customer Service ruined otherwise nice stay”

Needed 2 beds because me and my traveling companion are not intimate, and was told all 2 bed rooms were booked, except for suites. Agreed to rent a suite for an additional price, and I was given key to suite.Went to supper, was called at supper and asked to stop at front desk when I returned. At front desk, the worker told me she called the manager to see how to ring up the extra charge for the suite, and the manager said they couldn't honor the agreement at that price. I would need to cancel and book a suite at a price almost twice as much.I declined to do that, returned the suite key and was given a room with a single bed.HORRIBLE customer service. Although I always stay here the two or 3 times a year when I am in town and got two other friends to get 2 other rooms here for this trip, I'll not return. The facility is nice enough, the staff is friendly enough, but failing to honor commitments displays a lack of integrity that I will not tolerate. It won't help me, because I will not be staying here again, but perhaps management will learn from this and not offer deals they will not honor, especially just because it was a price issue. Had it been a more legitimate issue, I would be more understanding.
