“While the location and value for this hotel was good, the...”

While the location and value for this hotel was good, the sleep quality was lacking. I stayed in a room that faced the pool, which had bright florescent lights shinning in the room all night. The window did have a curtain but could not block out this very annoying light. I called the desk at 2:30am to ask if they could turn the light off and the clerk said she wasn't sure but thought that it was on a timer. Needless to say it stayed on until about 6am. I'm not sure why they needed the pool light to be on during January all night long but it was very annoying and made for a restless night. The breakfast buffet was average. There was a sign posted asking not to take plates of food to your room. I'm not sure why you couldn't as there was a refrigerator and microwave in the room so people are clearly allowed to eat in there. It was very hot and muggy in the dining area, and crowded. The tv channels were limited, no premiums. The staff was always friendly and there was toothpaste available at the front desk. Overall this was an okay hotel stay. It was a good value for the money. Next time I'll have to remember to bring an eye mask if staying at this hotel in Austin!
