“Hotel needs a lot of TLC”

We stayed in a family suite for 7 nights with our 6 pound chihuahua. The first suite they put us in had a leaking tile in the bathroom ceiling, so we asked to be moved. The rooms are old and in need of updates. They were in need of deep cleaning as well. We found various hairs (ie on the stovetop). The first several days the indoor pool heater was not working, in spite of us asking for it to be fixed numerous times. However, they did fix this problem before our stay ended. They did not inform us that our room would not be cleaned if we had a pet. Our tiny dog was locked inside a cage, inside a separate bedroom inside the suite and they would drop off towels but never once emptied our overflowing trash cans. We had to leave our wet towels outside amd empty our own cans, make our own beds, and request toilet paper. The breakfast was fine. No complaints there. Overall, we had a great trip, and would stay there again (because of their pet friendliness), but we hope they invest in some deep cleaning and upgrades to the rooms. Our pull out sofa bed was full of crumbs, pens, a necklace, and misc debris underneath. The front staff was outstanding, as far as friendliness. In fact, everyone was very kind that was employed at this hotel. It was in a quiet location, with a nice view. The elevator was very fast and efficient. We didn't smell any pet odors at this hotel which is a huge plus, in my opinion! The beds were very comfortable, with nice linens. Even with the few disappointments we encountered, we hope to stay there again with our small pet, in the future.
