“Nothing bad here”

  , Deerfield
For me, this is located directly across the street from the hospital where I work and so I will stay here sometimes when the weather is too bad to make the 30 mile drive home. Such was the case on this stay. When I requested to have a room on the first floor as close to the front lobby as they had available, they put me in the room right on the other side of the fitness facility. At first, I thought that might be kind of noisy, but it wasn't. No issues with that at all, really. When I told someone I know that I was staying there that night they replied in a very concerned tone, "Oh, are you sure you want to do that? That's a haven for truckers, you know." And yes, I have seen a number of truck drivers stay here, and have run into them in the mornings during breakfast, but never had any problems with them. Just because someone drives an 18 wheeler for a living doesn't make them a bad person. I have always found this hotel to be clean and the staff is friendly. Personally, I think all hotels are overpriced nowadays, but the price on this hotel's rooms, in reality, isn't any worse than any other hotel offering the same amenities. Personally, for me, it helps that they don't charge you extra for the wi-fi that you can get in your room.No issues with the wi-fi, cleanliness, plumbing, bedding, or anything else. The only thing negative I could say is that the chair for the desk in the room is located right next to the central air/heat unit, so every time the heat kicks on it blows directly on you while you're sitting at the desk, and this is *very* annoying. I had to move over to my bed to work on my laptop.Other than that little detail, it's all good.
