“One night at the Baymont Inn”

We had a room booked in another motel for 8 of us who were traveling together. That motel said they didn't have our reservation, so, we were sent to the Baymont. The desk clerks were very nice, but, told us at first they were booked. After explaining our problem, they told us that they have 3 rooms they had to hold for Veterans and could release them in 1/2 hour. We took the rooms and they were clean & very nice. We really appreciated their help. In the morning when checking out, the motel manager was at the desk. He seemed annoyed that I felt like I was bothering him. He charged me for a safe that I didn't use and he didn't ask if we used it or not. I had to ask for a receipt from him and he again seemed annoyed. I was very surprised that he was the general manager. I wondered how he would react if his employees treated guests in the manner he did. There was no thank you or how did you enjoy your stay or any other comment.
