“DISGUSTING”

For starters, when you walk in the front door of this nasty hole in the wall, the smell of urine over powers you. The front desk staff is rude as can be (save Liz at the morning check out). We had a total of 7 rooms booked for a softball tournament. With the inability to find other rooms in the area, we were stuck in this disgusting, smelly, falling apart hotel. There were rooms with fixtures falling off of the ceiling, faucets that you could pick up and move, cold water in the shower (at midnight), a layer of dust across the headboards, a less than desireable breakfast bar, liquor in the upstairs window ledge, gum on the ceilings, need I continue? My daughter witnessed a pair of dogs urinate in the hallway only adding to the already urine soaked carpet. Upon complaining to the front desk, we were responded to with an "oh well" from the night desk clerk. We travel multiple times a year and have never been treated the way we were treated by the front desk. I personally will never stay at any Howard Johnson hotel again. EVER.
