“My co-worker and I checked in at about 4 pm and were placed...”

My co-worker and I checked in at about 4 pm and were placed in rooms on the first floor by the pool and whirl pool. I asked it we could be moved and was told no due to they were booked. When I went downstairs I noticed abut 20 men checking in (my thoughts were why could I have not been moved). I had to get up at 4:45 and was concerned about the noise from the whirl pool. I was told it would be turned off soon. I called at 9 pm and was told it would be turned off at 10:00pm. At 10:01 I called and it was told that it was being turned off. I asked if I could move the next night and was told I had to get permission from the manager. The good news is that I did get a second floor room, away from the high pitched whirling noise. The hotel could use some updating. The wood is has seen it's better day. TV and, fridge and fresh linens were a plus.
