“What not to do”

The hotel was okay but I would not stay there again. We asked about extending our stay and when they gave us the info, they accidentally put a hold on our checking account. When they tried to fix it they put on another hold. $389.00. We were without funds for three days while trying to get the bank to release the holds. When I asked to be compensated for the inconvenience, they offered a $15 credit for one night. This was not nearly enough for what we went through. The bank would not release the holds saying it was up to the hotel and they only corrected one. We then had to wait for the hold to expire on it's own.The hotel was clean but the breakfast area was too small for the amount of people who were staying there. When we asked for an extra hour to check out, at first they said no and only after we reminded them of the mess they caused us, they said okay. They are pet friendly which is a plus, but all in all, we were not happy and will not stay there again. we should have gotten several free nights or a refund of at least $150.00 as adequate compensation. this ruined two days of our vacation.
