“No sleep, broken equipment, dated.”

The hotel was very dated, loud and key card & air conditioner/fan never worked. We came to Kennewick for my family's 50th wedding anniversary and got two rooms for our group. The key cards never worked, which included several trips for everyone, including my 75 year old mother who was placed several rooms away walking back and forth to the front desk and waiting til they could help us.Our room was extremely loud. People were walking (pounding) over our heads all night and early hours of the morning. We got no sleep including our 8 year old daughter. We did ask the front desk and the people above us were laying down, which leads me to believe it was the stairs or just an old building that did not make improvements on sound. My mom and sister stated their room was loud too. The front desk gave us $30 off our room, however this didn't really seem fair. We were tired and had to attend family party and drive across the state with no rest.We tried to turn on the air conditioner to muffle out some of the sound and that didn't work.We also requested that our rooms be next to each other and that didn't happen either.Your breakfast consisted of high carb foods and weak coffee. The staff was friendly and seemed simpathetic to our no sleep issue. However a person checks into a hotel for sleep and if you don't get that what is the point? $30 off really can't replace a good nights sleep and a restful day with family that I haven't seen for several years. Then attempting to drive home.Also the front desk person smokes right outside the pool area and leaves a crack in the door. This fills the swimming area with smoke as the wind just sucks it into the pool area. That really stunk for us to swim in.The drawers in my mom's room were falling apart and looked like they had been chewed on. (218)
