“Not worth the money”

  , Clarksville, Tennessee
This hotel has undergone some renovations, but it is still far below par. Almost all of the furniture and decor is old and shabby. The cable (although its not a deal breaker) was terrible and the sound never synced with the image. When I arrived, the receptionist told me that my room was not yet ready (again, not a deal breaker, but irksome). Also, although all of the rooms and hallways have "No Smoking" signs posted my room smelled like stale cigarette smoke. I don't know if there is still smoking going on, if they didn't replace anything after the "No Smoking" rule, or if they are just terrible at cleaning, but it still affects the room. I'm guessing it's a combination of the latter two. Given the service, the look of the hotel, and the amenities, the price of a room should certainly not exceed 80 dollars a night. The hotel is mediocre at best. I suggest looking at the Clarion, which is right across the highway, or the Hampton Inn which is just a couple miles south on Route 8.
