“Do not stay here”

We needed a cost effective place to stay while our new home was being readied. The hotel had a musty, smoky odor. The hotel claimed to be a smoke-free hotel. They never bothered to clean the smoke smell from when it was not smoke-free. We had to extend our stay, several times, due to last minute issues. We didnt get the best rates, as claimed on the website. I had to tell the desk of the lower rates, from the Baymont website, even then I was once told they couldnt honor those prices because they were sold out. The electrical outlets were so worn that the plugs were always falling out. I extended our stay the last time, online at Baymont.com, and were moved to another room. I also checked with the desk several times about loyalty rewards for our almost month long stay, only to find that after 3 weeks, no credits had been recorded. I followed up, in person twice, and was assured that credits would be recorded. I wanted to make sure the credits were recorded to get the most points. I was disappointed to find they just added days to our original reservation. This will result in many fewer credits than had they recorded the 4 separate reservations. I will see how you handle this complaint before deciding whether to stay at Baymont Inns & Suites again. This was our first stay at a Baymont and it may very well be our last. The quality of the bedding leaves much to be desired. Hiltons and Sheratons have much better bedding offerings.
