When we arrived at the hotel on Thanksgiving Eve there were only 2 cars in the parking lot. It hardly had any tenants. We went into the hotel with a coupon from the hotel coupons book for 49.95 and approached the lady that was working the counter. She was an unkept lady with stringy dirty hair, slouchy, sitting in a chair. She didn't want to be bothered with customers at all. We asked her if we could use the coupon, knowing that the hotel was almost empty if not empty. The cars could have been employees. We didn't know. Anyway she snatched the coupon out of my hand because it was not cut from the page and proceeded to cut it from the page for me. My friend walked in behind me and saw her snatch it angrily out of my hand. My mother came in behind me with her coupon for her room. My mother didn't see her snatch the coupon out of my hand or my mother would have told her a mouthful and we would have left. So I met my mother at the door and got her coupon book from her so I could get the coupon out because I didn't want the snatching to happen to my mother. THen the lady asked me if I wanted two double beds or one bed for my room which would be for me and my partner. I told her it didn;t matter that we weren't picky. She then jumped onto me and told me that she could not make up my mind for me that I would have to make my mind up. I told her one bed if she had it. She proceeded to keep talking about me not making my mind up and kept on with it as a big issue even after I told her one bed. I told her we wanted 3 nights for both rooms. She said do you have 3 coupons, one for each night and I told her no and asked her if we had to have one for each night. She said grouchily normally you do. Now me, knowing that there were two cars in the parking lot knew that the damned hotel wasn't full and overrunning so why was she making issue with the coupon. We checked in our rooms and my mothers room had a heater in it that made a big clacking noise that was so loud she had to keep her heat off and be cold in the night. We didn't feel we could approach this hotel desk clerk for any needs or problems without having a confrontation... We also asked for nonsmoking and got a smoking room and I know with 2 cars in the parking lot previous to us that there were plenty of nonsmoking rooms.Oh I also forgot when my mother asked for a room on the first floor she acted mad because she had to switch the room for her....NASTY SERVICE INSIDE AND OUT. THIS HOTEL SUCKS. « less
