“Worst stay ever”

I loved the location of this hotel, just a few blocks from UNCW. Unfortunately, the noise from the parking lot and gas station next door woke us up all hours. Toilet had hot water flushing in it -- literally moist and warm to sit on it, ewww. I thought it was something one of my kids did until I felt the heat coming up from the bowl. And the bathroom fan didn't work, so we were in tough quarters. I asked for a couple of extra towels but the housekeeper told me she would have to take mine and go wash them and bring them back. At breakfast I just poured the last cup of waffle mix into the iron when a little boy came up with the big sad eyes. i asked the lady working the dining room and her abrupt response was "That's it, there's no more." Guess who ate the waffle. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. They ought to train the rest of the staff in customer service skills.
