“Thank Goodness for Privacy Chains”

We have stayed at this location many times as we have family in the Wilmington area and up until this stay we've been very satisfied. We actually extended our visit by one day with the clerk April. Early on the morning of our last day the maid opened our door without knocking or announcing "housekeeping"...thank goodness for privacy chains. It was very startling as I was suddenly awakened by this intrusion, actually it scared me to death.When we checked out I mentioned this to the clerk, again it was April, who was the very one I talked to about extending our stay and her explanation was she told the maid no one was in our room. I wondered how that could be since she was the clerk that we spoke to to extend our stay in the first place. I know that people make mistakes but in this case she became rude and was inconsiderate as to how we felt. We will be staying at other motels from now on certainly not Baymont in Wilmington ever again.
