“We made our reservation several months in advance...”

We made our reservation several months in advance, requesting a pet-free and non-smoking room for 2 adults for 6 nights. I called twice before our scheduled trip in late November to confirm our special requests and was given confirmation. We arrived on 29 November and checked in. On opening the door to our room, it was quite obvious someone had been smoking in this room. We called to complain and were given another room. We spent two nights in this room even though the sink did not drain and the sink plug did not hold at all when husband was trying to shave. Also the overhead light over window flickered constantly and could not be used.. Again, we complained and were given a third room. We are not the complaining type but this was getting ridiculous since even in the third room, one of the lamps would not turn on. Fortunately, this was fixed the next day.
