“What went wrong with my stay”

First, after dark it is impossible to find your hotel in Peoria. The Welcome sign at the entrance of the side road that takes you to the hotel was not lit on all sides. The address is on War Memorial Drive which is misleading because it is really on another road that you have to get to by going through the mall - something that would have been useful when the room was first booked NOT when trying to find it after a full day of workshops.Second, there was a major mix up in the credit card - the school's credit card is not given to employees to use at hotels. The school had paid for the first night and I had cash to pay for the 2nd night. The manager refused to take cash and insisted on a credit card - that's a ridiculous policy to not take cash up front. All of the world does not use credit or debit.
