“A Huge Mistake, not worth it to save a few bucks”

We chose to stay at this hotel becuase it was close to manhatten and was reasonably priced. I was not expecting much more then a bed to sleep in but in the end i got the worse hotel expierence of my life. First issue was the hill that the rooms sit on top of, it was too steep and slippery for our car to go up so we had to walk and as it wasn't salted we nearly broke our necks. The second issue we encountered wasn't the hotel's fault but HOJO's information center as when we called to get info on the hotel they told us cabs into the city cost $24 each way but when we got into the cab we found out it was more then twice that. getting back to the hotel afterwards we nearly slipped again on the treacherous hill and noticed that the door leading outside from our room was not properly sealed making the room very drafty. Also we noticed that there was a mouse in the room which chewed some snacks i had purchased. When we checked out in the morning we informed the recptionist of the issues we had the only one she didn't argue about was the mouse mainly because i had proof of that. All the other issues she kept telling us that it wasn't so.The entire expierence has not only sullen me and my buddies towards that particular hotel but Howard Johnson's in general
