“Comfortable and clean”

I stayed at the hotel because it was close to a casino where I was to attend a professional conference. The rate was great. The hotel was easy to find and a short walk from the casino. The lobby and staff were great. The hall ways filled me with dread because they were dingy and smelly. So, when I opened my room and saw it was clean as a whistle I was pleasantly surprised. Great bed, desk, chair, iron, cooler/heater etc. The only problem was with the bathroom. The air/extractor fan seemed to be connected to a hotel-wide HVAC system and so the odor of cigarettes from the smoking section of the hotel (1 floor below mine at the other end of the hotel) permeated my bathroom. I learned that if I left the fan on, closed the bathroom door and let a room window cracked, the smell disappeared.
