“Motel - not a Hotel - Did not feel safe!”

  , Mukwonago
This motel is dark and parking lot is remote and poorly lit. Additionally, the only clerk on staff (a lone woman late at night) was working after her shift was over, assuming the relief worker did not come in. There was a loud and frightening argument outside my door (on the stairway) throughout the night. I knew the only staffer was a petite woman so I just barricaded my door and slept with one eye open. Towels were stained and while they smelled "clean" they did not look it or feel it. The bathroom had hair left over from the last guest or housekeeping. A family (reunion?) group and several young men took over the lounge at breakfast. Piling gifts on tables and gathering around the food making access nearly impossible. Dirty looks and unpleasant comments made me give up on the "free" breakfast. To top it off, when all this was explained to the clerk in response to the "how was your stay question?" he posed - he ignored everything. I told him I had a return for Thursday which I was strongly considering cancelling. He clearly did not care. Bottom line - the room was not clean & I felt unsafe and unwelcome at the property - I will not return to this property again.
