“Room was ok, won't go back”

Was in town for a graduation. Booked my 2 rooms in February. Hotel phoned me 3 days before I arrived to make sure I needed 2 rooms, confirmed that I did. The day of check-in received another call that there was water problems in some of the rooms. Wanted to know if we could we take one room and have cots added. I agreed but was inconvenient for 3 adults to get ready for graduation. Said everything would be cleaned up for us to have 2 rooms the next night. My thought is the hotel was overbooked for the Saturday graduation. When we tried to get our other room Saturday afternoon, they were still dirty at 3:00 and 3:30. And that's dirty as in someone stayed in it. Didn't see any water issues or any type of cleanup going on while we were there. Check out was confusing too. Clerk kept saying since you canceled your room.....I didn't cancel my room, you did. Next time we are in Rolla, we will go back to the Drury.
