“Stay at your own risk!”

This hotel is extremely shabby, in disrepair and in real need of renovation. We have never stayed in a hotel this bad. Very worn rugs, walls in serious need of paint, fabrics badly faded. Our room was not properly cleaned - only top surfaces. Dirty carpet, not vacuumed, mold on shower curtain and air conditioner, bathroom door w/white streaks. (We wiped the door with alcohol wipes & they turned green). Not a very good environment for my husband with COPD. Only positive thing was the bed & bedding. Outstanding!! Next the breakfast. Served from 6 to 9 am? At 6:15 setup still wasn't done. Some food was set out but no plates or coffee cups, condiments missing. The front desk clerk came over to help. After 25 mins everything was set up (6:40), but the decaf coffee was cold. The microwave & waffle maker were filthy. The desk clerk came to help and was extremely helpful but the manager chose to come to the breakfast area and critique her. Very unprofessional behavior. The positives were: wonderful bed & bedding, elevators that worked, and courteous staff. Cleaning crew REALLY need supervising. The total disrepair and shabbyness are inexcusable. We know this isn't standard for Baymont but won't likely stay in one again.
