“Week of 7/28”

The first room I was sent to wasn't cleaned - beds were not made, garbage was scattered - obviously a mistake, but that made me nervous to think that they could just as easily send someone to MY room. The first night was horribly loud - it sounded as if someone were bouncing a basketball all night long on the floor above me and running around the room. Indeed, later I was told that a baseball (adult) team was staying above us. I asked to be moved for the next few nights, and I was placed on the third floor - which was much quieter except the car alarm that went off at 1am one night. The people who clean everyday didnt clean thoroughly - basically they replaced towels (although never the number I had) , wiped the counter, made the bed, and that was it. It was not vacuumed. One morning I asked to have the pillow cases replaced, and that was not done. Breakfast wasn't ready when it said it would be. THe workout room had dirty socks in it and an overflowing garbage for 3 of the 4 days I was there. The pool, which is how one gets to the workout room, was completely dark, and therefore made it difficult to find where I was going when headed to the workout room, not to mention somewhat dangerous. The fonrt desk men just sat there - never got up or moved. WHen asked about restaurants, they had no idea.The two ladies stood and moved around and were much more pleasant and attentive and seemed to have some knowledge of the area - they were also much quicker to act on needs like fresh towels. I stay at hotels all year long, and this ranked at the bottom for certain. Although some of this was out of teh control of the hotel, like the car alarm and the noisy patrons, I don't encounter this other places. I can't see staying at a Baymont again.
