“WE found the room to be adequate. Most of the staff didn't...”

WE found the room to be adequate. Most of the staff didn't know how to adequately operate the computer. When power went down and came back, staff said they had to wait on the manager to come in as he was the only one that knew how to operate it. Because of this, we were unable to get a receipt at checkout. mnagement was open to suggestion. The juice machine was not working properly, when it was suggested that he could buy juice and put it on the counter, I noticed that he did do this. Rooms were really not up to standard but staff permitted me to look at several rooms and pick the one I wanted. (One even had a broken bathroom mirror. Room may have been fine if mirror had simply been replaced. Some rooms had torn carpeting. Something to understand is that this hotel had been recently purchased from another chain and is continuing to undergo renovation. Probably should have closed one floor at a time until renovation was completed. Location was difficult. First night the GPS took us directly to it. Other nights took as long as 1.5 hrs to get there as we could see hotel and were going round but roads were difficult to negotiate. Now consider this was in Michigan and we had never visited there before.
