“Terrible Customer Service”

I have stayed at many Baymont Inns over the past three (3) years and have never experienced the Customer Service I did at this location. We (3 booked rooms) were originally scheduled to stay for three (3) days and checked out after one (1) and moved to another hotel. We knew that we needed to check in before 3 pm and called ahead and asked about the procedure. When we arrived we were first told we could not check in until after 3p.m. EVEN though the hotel was EMPTY! After explaining that we had to be at a conference at 1pm and that we had been on the road for over 12 hours, she said we could all (6 people) check into one room for an extra $25 and freshen up. I expressed the inconvenience this would be with 6 women in one bathroom and she proceeded to charge us $25 for all 3 rooms and let us check in. I was told my credit card would not be charged until check out, because at this point her tone and level of customer service was poor, I let her know that I did not think I would be staying. When I returned to the front desk roughly 30 minutes later, she said she had charged my credit card the entire 3 nites stay and that she couldnt refund me the 2 additional nights until I checked out Friday. UNBELIEVABLE!! After much talking and repeatedly asking me why I wanted to leave and that I would not find another hotel,she did refund me my 2 nights and said she knew we would change our minds before the next day. I must say I left and as much as I usually enjoy my stay at Baymont, this one was terrible!!!
