“Nightmare in Battle Creek”

We left our room at 8:30 am and returned at 5:30 pm to an uncleaned room. I would have called the front desk to report it if the phone in the room actually worked! I then went to the front desk to inquire as to why our room was not cleaned I was told that we had a DND sign on our door. The Do Not Disturb sign never left the towel rack in the room where it was hung EVER! I front desk gal said there was nothing she could do as housekeeping was gone and there was no management staff available. The front desk gal (appx. 23-28 yrs. old) said "Dear how many towels do you want?" "Excuse me? You referring to me as Dear is inappropriate!" "Then Ma'm how many towels do you want?" She then proceeded to call my husband "Honey". What kind of customer service training are you giving your employees? My son was a Director of guest services at a resort on the strip in Las Vegas, front office manager in the Wisconsin Dells and is currently with Disney Cruises. I'm certain I know how customers should be treated and this was not it. We will be returning to Battle Creek in the near future without a stay at the Baymont.
