“Unprofessional Staff”

Location is isolated and between two practically abandoned shopping centers. Lighting is poor and the road is in bad shape to get back to it. The young man who checked me in was nice but very unprofessional. There was another man in the lobby who was asking me where I'm from, what I do, very annoying. Room was beat, chair cushions worn through, burns and tears in the bath floor. The had replaced some of the furnishings and did not patch the hols in the walls where the old had been mounted. The carpet and the bed and the shower were nice. In spite of these problems the room seemed very clean.Fire Alarm went off @ 5AM, manager was screaming and carrying on like a little kid. He didn't have any idea what to do and said he had called his supervisor and they didn't answer. I went back to my room and it stopped after several minutes. When I came down in the monring he said that he found the breaker and shut it off. When the manager came in she gave me a letter offering 15% off on my next stay. She blamed the night clerk for not knowing to pull the wire off the battery to stop it. I felt very unsafe staying in a hotel with no fire alarm. I would not stay here again.
