“Somewhat unsatisfied”

We have stayed at the Brooks, KY Baymont Inn several times in the past three years, and have SLWAYS been VERY happy with our accommodations and service. However, this past visit on Tuesday evening was not what we have grown accustomed to. First, we requested a main floor room because of mobility issues. We were told that there were no rooms available on the first floor. Judging by the number of vehicles there that evening, I doubted whether there was indeed no room available on the first floor. Second, when we went upstairs, the carpet on the stairs was VERY dirty and worn, the hallway was VERY smelly with cigarette smoke, we opened the room door and the odor was also in the room. One of the beds was wrinkled and looked like someone had been sitting on it. Also, one bed had very nice bedding, with a nice fluffy faux down comforter and newer looking linen, while the second bed had very thin sheets and no comforter. The carpet had a very large spot between the beds that looked like perhaps bleach had been spilled on it. This was all a. If disappointment and certainly NOT the service we had grown to expect.
