“Noisy neighbors”

  , Denver, Colorado
The hotel itself is basic, and if you're looking for a place to spend the night it will do the job. The staff was friendly in all of my encounters, but there was one strange thing about our stay. We arrived at about 2am needing a break from a long drive. We were assigned room 128 (I think) When we got there we noticed an extension cord running from the neighbors room to a an electric smoker in the parking lot. Weird, but whatever. Just as we got into bed for much ended rest our very drunk neighbors returned. I know they were very drunk because they kept yelling "we're so drunk!!!!!" This was annoying, but given the time of night we didn't want to bother trying to get a new room because we were so exhausted. I casually mentioned it at checkout and the woman at the counter said "oh, yeah, you were in room 128. I'm sorry about that." What?! Who are these people that have clearly irritated other guests before? And, if you're allowing them to stay, why are you knowingly putting other guests next to them?! To make our night of sleep worse, they began power washing the sidewalk first thing in the morning and after it had already woken us up they called us to make sure it wouldn't be a bother. Ugh. So much for sleeping in to compensate for a very late night. Bottom line, the hotel is fairly clean, beds were comfortable, basic amenities exist, but I question the staff commitment to making sure guests have a quiet space. Though the staff were friendly, I felt they knowingly put is next to noisy neighbors and added insult to injury with the power washing. If you stay here, maybe avoid room 128 (maybe 129, can't quite remember).
