“Everyone else was nice except”

the manager, Jill. I was very satisfied with the front desk personnel and the housekeeping staff. I called Jill the morning after I checked in because the "hold" they put on my credit card was actually a full charge in advance for two weeks, which I did not expect, as I told Jill. She called it a "pending charge" but in essense, it was a charge.I explained that I use one credit card for all my business expense and replenish it weekly as I get reimbursed and that the advance charge was haning me out to dry and could she please work something out, to which she replied that that's the way ALL hotels do business. No it is not. I've stayed in many different states and they put a hold for a dollar or so and then bill my card in full when I check out.Her reply to that was "we have to do it this way because how do we know that your card is good and guarantee that we get paid?" I told her that she already had my card number and my signature acknowging the price. I then asked her if she could just bill me one week in advance instead, so I could use my card for other expenses. She said that the rate will be higher then. After I explained my situation (that she put me in) one more time, she told me that I could use cash. Is she kidding me? A woman traveling and working by herself carrying that much cash? (By the way, thank you for your permission to use cash instead of CC.)She then suggested that I ask my boss to print a check and send to me to cover the expense to which I replied that my boss would not do a special check run to make it convenient for me. Well then she dropped the bomb and informed me that she was "running a business here." What a freaking insult.This was my first stay at a Baymont and they don't have to worry about me staying with them ever again if their managers are like her. Give me a break. She didn't have to insult me and be so darn condescending toward me as if I am a child. I am about twice her age.I am one of many that helps you have a business TO RUN, Jill. If you want to know why I am giving this hotel's service a four star instead of five, please do help yourself to a nice big mirror and look.
