“Our stay in the main building was adequate so we returned...”

Our stay in the main building was adequate so we returned on our way home. We were very disappointed. We were put in a room that was clearly unsuitable for guests. There was a bottle of draino on the bureau, a trash can filled with dirty brown water under the clogged sink, along with a caulk gun, and puddle of water. There was a coating of dust everywhere and altogether dirty and dusgusting as well as smelly. We had to call to tell the mgmt. of the condition of the room and had to relocate . After a 9 hr. drive we were really disappoitnted. The mgmt., aside from the relocation made no compensation and charged full price. Will not stay with Howard Johnson's and will not recommend.
