“Family Trip June 2013 Springfield, IL”

We stayed at this hotel when we visited Springfield, IL June 2, 2013. I was able to get an online reservation very quickly the morning of June 2. For the most part the hotel was nice. I did however get very sick for two days on the egg item that was served for breakfast. I would suggest not eating this item off of the breakfast buffet. The manager could've had a better attitude upon our arrival. It seemed he was a bit stressed due to the fact that it was a sold out night. When you're in the hospitality business you need to have a smile no matter what is going on behind the scenes. Needless to say we didn't feel welcome upon first arrival. He made it very well known that check in time wasn't until 3:00pm, which we already knew. We wanted to make sure they had our reservation being that we had booked it in the morning and knew there had been problems in the past with this hotel. The rest of the staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. Our one night we stayed wasn't that bad beside me being sick from the egg breakfast item. That's the main reason for the average rating.
