“The foreign owner does not care about customer...”

The foreign owner does not care about customer satisfaction. I had a problem with checking out sooner than my initial reservation specified. Although I was checking out by their check out time they still charged me an extra $25 as a penalty. When I was discussing the matter with the owner, he stood there chewing gum, half listening to what I was saying, nodding in a condescending manner, and then simply said that is our policy. The rooms were not very clean. If you are on the first floor you can hear people walking above you and there is a squeaking to the place. Some of the parents in our group received calls wanting credit card information over the phone weeks after the room was reserved. When they refused to provide the information on a call that wasn't initiated by them, they were told that there was no guarantee they would have a room. The person working in the breakfast area was unfriendly and handled unwrapped food items with her bare hands.The overall service was awful. The staff are rude. The prices are not any better than other hotels. I switched to the Drury Inn for the remainder of my time in the area and the service was wonderful!
