“Recent Stay”

The staff were very friendly and the manager appeared to be knowledgeable. She was patient and helpful in training a new desk clerk as well as in explaining to us that lightening had struck the building three day earlier and therefore many rooms were without television. The elevators were also out of service due to the weather mishap. We were offered a discounted price on a room as a result of the problems. Television is not a main concern for us when staying at a hotel or motel, as we generally are out and about finding things to do in the area, nor is use of an elevator, so we took the room and were pleased with the discounted rate. We noticed that others who had made reservations were also given discounted rates, as many of the reservations were not recorded due to the computer system also being affected by the lightening strike. In regards to the rooms: they were clean and in good shape. The fan in the bathroom was not working, and I am not sure if that was the result of the lightening or not. Breakfast was the typical waffles, cold cereal, hard boiled eggs, bagels, fruit bowl, bakery, coffee and juice.
