“My husband and I stayed to get away for his birthday...”

My husband and I stayed to get away for his birthday. Baymont was running a promotion on their suite with the whirlpool. We were impressed when we walked in. It all looked clean. When we first got their, the air unit was working, but later in the evening the unit stopped working. The ceiling fan would not work as well. That was a room changer for us. They offered to have someone come to the room (it was late and we really did not want visitors) or to change rooms. We chose to change rooms. Earlier in the evening, we used the whirlpool. The water pressure was very low and it took a long time to get it to the point where we could turn on the jets. One of the lamps was not working. There was a bulb missing at the vanity which created poor light for applying makeup. The bed was uncomfortable, but we have a nice bed at home that we are use to. We asked the front desk to give us a discount. They did give us 15%. I thought that they would give more, but maybe it was due tothe promotional price. We might try again. The hotel needs to do a better job of upkeep.
