“Nice hotel but could use a better front desk staff”

The room was clean, The location was very convenient to our meeting in the morning. I didn't see or eat the breakfast as it was provided at the place we were going to. The evening guy who checked us in was pleasant, but he did say our room number out loud which is a huge no no in the industry because anyone could have followed me (a woman traveling and staying in a room alone) to my room. I slept ok, but found the pillows to be uncomfortable and the noise from the surrounding rooms very easy to hear. The morning front desk clerk failed to look up at me when I approached the desk or at any point during our "conversation." She asked me if I was checking out and if I wanted a receipt, printed them out but not once did she look up from what she was doing. There was a guest behind the front desk area printing out his boarding passes. I found that to be extremely unprofessional. Have the staff do it or put a business center in....don't let your guests behind the desk - they don't belong there. Being in the hotel industry myself - these are pet peeves and certainly are areas where improvement can be made.
