“Never Again!!!!!!!!”

Terrible! We prepaid, but they tried to charge us for an additional room. Advising us to "put our children ages 17,12,6 in a separate room". When we refused, he reluctantly proceeded, we only received 1 key. The room was very bad. The smoke detector was down, wires hanging from ceiling, I told the clerk and he said "what do you want me to do, you can put it back up yourself, maintenance is gone for the day and I cannot do it". We had to ask for a plunger for the toilet. Mold in the ac unit. Trash from the previous people. The ceiling showed obvious evidence of patching. The doors do not have proper latches. The tub had stains, the furniture, linen and carpets were outdated. The hot tub wasn't hot, instead, the kids used it as a mini-pool. The pool room is on a timer so you sit in the dark until the lights come on. Most of all, The staff was arrogant, unapologetic and rude. I've NEVER been treated so badly. This visit reminds me of a place that maybe aims for the only-stay-because-you-need-to crowd, never concerned about return visits nor image. The photos on the site are deceitful except the pool. Which, you have to use ONLY the towels that are stored at the pool but you have to leave the towels at the pool, walk back to your room wet and toweless! Completely ridiculous that someone would run a hotel this way! If this is the average Baymont hotel, we will NEVER stay at another! When we checked out, the morning staff was unfriendly as well. NEVER again!
