“One of the worst hotels”

The hotel was dirty and uninviting...ashtrays were overflowing; air exchange vents were filthy, coated in dust and dirt (especially the one located in lobby above the food service-yuck!); the walls in our bathroom were literally smeared with filth and in need of cleaning (hose down) and the shower did not drain properly; we did not get fresh towels nor new soap;as the occupants above us would walk parts of the popcorn ceiling would dislodge and fall; when checking out the clerk was unable to provide me with a copy of our receipt. No automatic checkout...Really! The clerks look unkept and unprofessional (one wearing a vest too small which looked ready to burst, another was unshaven, and wearing a hoody, several employees were outside smoking during breakfast and since the door was open the lobby smelled of smoke) The fresh fruit, which was the only thing worth our athletes eating at breakfast, was old, brown, bruised and dirty. Everything else was questionable as far as safe to eat or worth eating. Lastly, the Baymont advertises fresh baked cookies (even on the sign flashing outdoors), but not once were there any available or even a display to keep them. Our team is going back to Louisville next month...we will not be staying at the Baymont!
