“Not relaxing”

  , Bonaire
Groups of children (we assume they were a basketball team, ages 10-14) were talking loudly outside our room after 10 p.m. First we called the front desk who then came out and moved the children away. They came back within 10 minutes, at which time my husband got out of bed, got dressed, and politely told the children to move their conversation elsewhere. A few of them rudely spoke back to my husband and one of them made a rude gesture. My husband, still calm, asked the boy to come back and speak with him. The youth dispersed at that point and said they would be back. Then, they were on the floor above us, stomping their feet. The duty person finally became involved. In our opinion, the responsible parents or coaches should have been advised that their children were disturbing hotel guests and been held accountable. As for my family, we were wide awake at that point, which was unfortunate because we had to get up at 6:00 the next morning.
