“Enroute to Spring Training”

The price was right. The bed comfortable. But...the conditions in the hotel were not up to par. We had a chair in the room that looked like it might have fallen off a truck on I95 and landed in the room. It was worn and filthy. The tub spigot was falling off and someone had tried to fix it with caulking. But, maybe the worst part was the absence of staff after check-in. The woman who was at the desk was terrific when we checked in. In the morning, we saw no one except when a gal came into the breakfast room to pour more coffee into the carafe. There was no one at the desk, no one in the breakfast area, the hotel seemed abandoned. There was a sign at the desk telling those who needed something to call a number on a phone. Too bad. This is a nice looking place and with a little attention, the room would have been great. I have a daughter who is GM at a Baymont in Denver and she would be shocked at the conditions of a place carrying the name of her hotel
