“Service was terrible”

I was in Augusta , Ga for a 3 day meeting. Upon arriving the front desk staff was curtious and was very helpful at check in. The room that was given to my wife and I was supposed to be a non- smoking room, but the previous occupant smoked in the room. Upon entering the room, the smell was overwhelmingly bad. The clerk at the front desk was very helpful as she assigned me another room and this was satisfactory. The next morning Ieft to attend my conference and when I returned that evening, the room had not been cleaned and santitized. The linen had not been changed and the trash recepicals had not been emptied. I called down to the front desk to get help, the manager on duty did little to help. He brought fresh linen to my room and did not offer to clean the room, santitize the bathroom or make the bed. He just said that housekeeping was closed and left the linen. My wife made the bed and santitized the bathroom. This was unexceptable!! The next morning I asked to speak to the owner or the manager and I was put off time after time until I just checked out. I am a Marriott Elite Member and I cancelled my reservations to stay at this property, because of the special Baymont Inn & Suits was advertising. $59.00 a night. I guess you get what you pay for, but Baymont Inn & Suites will reap what they have sown. I am so sorry Marriott, I hope you can find it in your heart to for give me!
